Found on the concrete ground just past the exit turnstiles, before the stairs, of the Vandam Street exit of the downtown-bound C train (Spring Street stop).
I’d love to know the story behind this scene…
Who prints a nice note like that on their computer rather than writing it by hand? And why were there multiple copies of the note on the ground, rather than just one?
The roses had been trampled by hundreds of commuters by the time I got there.

I think someone decided to put a smile on people’s faces and left that message out there for anyone who wanted to receive it. By printing more than one, he/she was expecting that other people would pass it forward. It’s a nice thought to have someone you don’t know to wish you a good day for no other reason than to make your day… giving w/o asking (but maybe I am over romanticizing)
